Beyond the basics: Time management Productivity Clarity of thought Controlling the mind To more significant leverage: Of computing power Of enabling trans-humanist tech Of the universe In an odd way that I haven't yet put my finger on, this seems to overlap strongly with a search for Truth/Love/Compassion. Aka the universal connectedness of all things, aka God. Not merely in the "oh, He's over there" sense, but in the deeper, Enlightenment sense. I am not interested in sitting in a cave examining my navel as an end goal - although I'm happy to use it as a tool along the path. I am interested in daily, continuous application. I am interested in maximising the time I have available, in the truest, deepest sense. I am interested in any tool, technique or methodology that can help me move along this path - the more effectively the better. Logging things publically in this manner enables others to find & use this information, if they so desire. No one else is on my path, of course, but many of the tools have generic application, and there is nothing secret or unique to what I'm doing, so the knowledge shouldn't be secret either. This is a part of that journey, along with some of the more fun, interesting or entertaining places I pass on the way. | |
